21st Century Moses to Lead Concern Australia
Moses Abbatangelo joined Concern Australia as its new Executive Director in the past few months. He is a remarkable character with an unforgettable name.
Moses brings a broad range of management and leaderships skills, with more than 25 years experience in the drug and alcohol sector, most recently as Operations Manager at DASWest, the primary drug and alcohol service for western Melbourne.
He also brings extensive knowledge of the not for profit sector through roles at Odyssey House, Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre and Teen Challenge. He was also a founding member of St Kilda Gatehouse, a mission to street drug users and sex workers in St Kilda, with a church plant called Matthew’s Party.
“My first priorities in moving CA forward are to develop and implement a Strategic Plan over the next few months, as well as connecting with more corporate and philanthropic partners to put us on the right financial footing,” Moses said.
“However, I am also passionate about staying true to our mission and want to reconnect us with local churches and other Christian organisations,” he said.
Moses and his wife Trudy have 3 children, Thomas, Alexander and Sienna.
