Rev It Up!
Rev it Up! is a disability pre-employment feature of the Hand Brake Turn Program, designed to give disadvantaged young people a real opportunity to gain future employment, realise their goals and gain the satisfaction of making a valuable contribution to the community.
Rev it Up! provides special assistance to participants with disabilities to complete the HBT Program, receiving hands on training in:
- Motor Mechanics – Engine Dismantling
- Spray Painting
- Car Detailing
- Panel Beating – Parts Recovery
They are then engaged in a two week work placement in the automotive industry.
Candidates are registered Futures for Young Adults (FFYA) candidates who are determined to make a change toward a positive and productive future by gaining genuine employment. Participants are provided with the necessary support to help them complete the course and consider opportunities for their future.
With the assistance of the Rev it Up! Employment Placement Worker, participants will develop an Individual Action Plan, to help determine career path options and identify pathway needs.
