God's Squad
God’s Squad Christian Motorcycle Club is a group of bike enthusiasts coming together to bring faith particularly to the outlaw biker fraternity.
As a recognisable identity within the outlaw biker scene, God's Squad provides an important chaplaincy role, responding to personal needs as well as performing the more traditional functions of marriages, baptisms and funerals.
God's Squad was established in the late 1960's in Sydney, Australia and founded on a broader basis, under the leadership of John Smith, in Melbourne 1972, where the club colours have been flown ever since. The club primarily exists to minister among the 'outlaw biker fraternity' and associated groups, where it is an accepted and relevant expression of the Christian church. Since it's birth, out of the counter culture Jesus movement days of the late 60's it has continued, over three decades, to devote it's efforts amongst those on the fringes of society.
God's Squad CMC has established chapters in Queensland, NSW, Tasmania, and further abroad in New Zealand and the UK, with new beginnings in Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and the US.
Part of Concern Australia, God’s Squad and John Smith are taking the Gospel to hurting people wherever they are.
